DIY Paper Phone Case

By Nadira Permata - 8:29 AM

I was laying around my bed and thought how boring my phone case is.. That's really random, but it's true. So i had an idea to write a blog post on how to make a phone case. I got bored really fast, so if you're like me, this case is perfect for you since you can change the pattern anytime, anywhere you want!

Beware: Lots of pictures coming up!

This is the finish product:

Here's what you'll need:

  • Clear phone cases (i got mine from Born Pretty Store, but you can get it from Ebay too for a dollar!)
  • Scrapbook paper
  • Glue (optional)
  • Pen or pencil for tracing
  • Scissors
  • Cutter
Step 1
  • Pick any scrapbook paper you'd like

Step 2
  • On a piece of paper trace the back of the phone case, keep in mind you still have to trim it later since it will be slightly bigger, then cut it out using the cutter or scissors, i actually recommend using exacto knife for better precisions.

Step 3
  • Try putting it in the case to see whether it's the perfect size or not. If not, you can trim the sides using a pair of scissors.

Step 4
  • Glue the paper onto the BACK of the scrapbook paper of your choice. Then you can cut it following the pattern of the cut out paper we made earlier.

Step 5
  • After you cut the body of the paper, place it inside the phone case. Use your pencil to mark the camera hole then cut it using the cutter/exacto knife. Remember it doesn't need to be perfect!

And there you have it. You can make as many paper case as you want! It's fun to switch it every now and then.

Hope you enjoy this tutorial/DIY!

Side note: keep the papers in a ziplock bag when you're not using it.Remember, it's only paper, so it might be ruined when you drop the case on the water!

Xoxo
